Principal
Dr. Joyce brings more than 40 years in secondary education, including roles as a social studies instructor, curriculum coordinator, assistant principal, high school principal, and Cognia accreditation lead evaluator. He leads the Sunfire team with a single focus: building an environment where every student can succeed.

Kiana Aaron
Mathematics Teacher
Ms. Aaron is a mathematics educator passionate about helping students build confidence, think critically, and develop a strong foundation in math. With experience across both education and behavioral health, she supports students academically, socially, and emotionally. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration.
Tashebra Anderson
Mathematics Teacher
Tashebra Anderson is a committed educator who has been in the school system for 14 years. I enjoy helping students develop a strong understanding of the curriculum while fostering a love of learning. Teaching brings me joy, especially when I can connect with students, address their misconceptions, and celebrate their growth. I am passionate about inspiring the next generation to become confident, successful lifelong learners.

Alquavia Brown
English Language Arts Teacher
Ms. Brown is an educator, community leader, and advocate who believes every student has a creative spark worth developing. A graduate of Florida A&M University with a degree in Graphic Communication, she designs engaging learning experiences that build confidence. She founded Circles 4 Change.
Brandi Burnell
Mathematics Teacher
A single mother from Iowa, Ms. Burnell has built her life around hard work, resilience, and a passion for education, with years of experience in mathematics, visual arts, and computer science. She holds a Master’s in Teaching, Leadership, and Cultural Competency from the University of Iowa.
Damon Callis
Para Professional
Damon Callis is an education professional with experience in alternative learning, youth development, and program leadership. As a former Program Director of an adolescent clubhouse, he created supportive programs that promoted academic, social, and emotional growth. Damon also serves as a youth and high school football coach, where he mentors young athletes and emphasizes leadership, teamwork, discipline, and personal development.

A former law enforcement officer, Mr. Dean now works at the intersection of media, information technology, and security. From building computers to working with applications and software, he brings hands-on technical experience into the classroom.

Shayla Everett
Reading Teacher & Literacy Coach
Ms. Everett is a dedicated Literacy and English Language Arts teacher with more than 10 years of experience inspiring students to become confident readers, writers, and critical thinkers. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida International University (FIU) and a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in English Education from the University of South Florida (USF). Passionate about fostering a love of literacy, Ms. Everett creates engaging, student-centered learning experiences that support academic growth while helping students develop strong communication and analytical skills for lifelong success.

Eureka Farmer

Ms. Farmer is a native of South Florida who found her passion for teaching during the last 10 of the 20 years she served on active duty in the US Air Force. With 11 years of experience as an educator in science, Ms. Farmer is dedicated to providing an engaging classroom environment for students to grow and succeed. Ms. Farmer earned a bachelor’s in biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver, an AA degree from Miami-Dade College and an AAS from the Community College of the Air Force in Communications Technology Applications.

Dr. Mugahid Ibrahim

Mr. Mugahid Ibrahim, a dedicated Science Teacher for grades 9-12, specializing in [Biology / Chemistry / Physics / General Science].within academic back ground from Sudan (bachelor and Master of Biochemistry from University of Khartoum) and Master of information technology from A.I.U . I create engaging, hands-on lessons that foster critical thinking and collaboration. In my classroom, students tackle real-world problems through labs, projects, and discussions, making science both accessible and exciting. Stacey Sanders joined our teaching community in 2026, bringing a rich and unique professional background to the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University and earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University. After practicing for many years in the medical field, Dr. Sanders chose to follow her true passion for education. Her transition to teaching allows her to combine her extensive scientific background with a deep interest in the social sciences, creating an engaging and multidisciplinary learning environment for her students.
