Cost & the diploma

Is Sunfire really tuition-free?

Yes. Sunfire is a public charter school. There is no tuition and no hidden cost for the standard curriculum.

Do students get a real high school diploma?

Yes. Graduates earn a Cognia-accredited diploma, recognized by colleges, the military, and employers, not a GED.

Who can enroll

What grades do you accept?

Students in grades 9 through 12, plus young adults up to age 21–22 who haven’t yet earned a diploma.

How old can a student be and still enroll?

Sunfire serves students up to age 21–22, including students who are behind on credits or re-entering after time away.

Academics & support

Can my student recover lost credits?

Yes. Our credit recovery program is built around where a student is now, not where they should have been.

What if my child needs extra support or falls behind?

Every student has a Student Success Team and access to a full-time licensed social worker. Structure and support work together here.

What career training do you offer?

Four Career and Technical Education certification tracks: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

Applying & logistics

How do I apply?

Start online. Your first name and email is all it takes to begin. An admissions counselor follows up within 48 hours.

Is there a deadline to apply?

Enrollment is ongoing, but seats are limited. Apply as soon as you’re ready.

Is transportation available?

Yes. Sunfire High provides free bus passes so students can use public transportation.
